Sebuah ad library adalah basis data iklan yang dapat dicari yang telah ditayangkan pada sebuah platform, jaringan, atau di seluruh web, menampilkan kreatif iklan, pengiklan di baliknya, serta detail seperti tanggal penayangan dan penempatan. Ad library membuat iklan menjadi terlihat oleh siapa saja, mengubah iklan yang sebelumnya bersifat sementara menjadi catatan yang dapat diteliti.

How they work#

Libraries come in two broad types. Platform-operated libraries are published by the ad seller itself, for example the Meta Ad Library and the Google Ads Transparency Center, and are part of the broader push toward Ad Transparency, partly driven by regulation. Independent libraries are built by third parties that continuously capture live ads, especially in native, where no official library exists, and add intelligence the platforms don't, such as identifying the real advertiser and tracing each click to its landing page.

Why it matters#

For marketers, an ad library is the foundation of competitor research: you can see exactly what rivals are running, which creatives and offers they bet on, and how long each ad stays live. That overlaps heavily with the function of an Ad Spy Tool, though spy tools typically layer on filtering, search, and analytics.
