Yes. The Facebook Ad Library became the Meta Ad Library when Facebook’s company became Meta. It lives at facebook.com/ads/library and covers ads on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads, Audience Network and Meta’s other apps.
No, not for ordinary ads, and not even for ads shown in the EU or the UK. Meta shows spend only as a range on ads about social issues, elections or politics. The Est. spend on each OpenAdLibrary card is our own estimate from the reach Meta publishes, and the app always labels it as an estimate.
Only for ads shown in the EU or the UK: Meta publishes their total reach and their reach by country, age and gender. Ordinary ads shown elsewhere show no reach. OpenAdLibrary puts Meta’s EU and UK reach on the card and lets you sort by it.
Search the brand, its Facebook Page or a keyword, choose Meta as the source, and sort by days running or by EU reach. Ads run from Pages, so try the Page’s name too. Follow a Page to see its new ads as they appear.
Meta lists ordinary ads only while they run, so an ad leaves when it stops. Political and issue ads stay for seven years, and ads shown in the EU or the UK for a year after their last impression. OpenAdLibrary keeps the Meta ads it has seen after they stop, with their dates.
Yes. Meta’s library covers Facebook, Instagram and Meta’s other apps, and there is no separate Instagram ad library. In OpenAdLibrary, filter by placement to see Instagram ads only.
Meta’s library has no download button for videos. OpenAdLibrary stores the video of every Meta ad it lists: open an ad and click Download video to save the MP4, or save the ad to a board.
Yes, but it returns political and issue ads worldwide and ads shown in the EU or the UK, and it needs identity confirmation and a developer app. OpenAdLibrary’s REST API and hosted MCP server search the Meta ads in our library, on the Founders plan.
Meta’s library is free, and it is where reach and the payer come from. It drops ordinary ads when they stop, shows no spend for them, and covers Meta alone. OpenAdLibrary keeps the ads it has seen, adds an estimated spend, stores every video, and puts TikTok, Google and native ads in the same search.
No. Founders has no credits: search, filter and download as much as you like for $29.99 a month. The developer API has its own daily limit.
