Ad intelligence that shows its work.
OpenAdLibrary is an open ad-transparency and competitive-intelligence platform for native advertising. We catalogue the ads running across the native networks, capture each creative, follow every click to the advertiser’s real landing page, and store auditable evidence of the whole supply chain. Then we give you the tools to act on it.
The library, by the numbers
As of August 2026, OpenAdLibrary holds 1.37 million distinct ad creatives drawn from 14.4 million recorded ad observations across 50 ad networks. Those ads resolve to 41,890 distinct advertiser landing domains, and the supply chain behind them is mapped across 23,110 classified ad-tech entities — the SSPs, exchanges, trackers and redirect hops sitting between a placement and the advertiser.
The library refreshes hourly. Every figure above is a count of what we have actually stored, not a projection or a panel estimate, and each one can be traced back to the individual observations behind it.
How OpenAdLibrary compares
Native ad intelligence has been expensive and closed for a long time. The established tools price at $79.99 to $249 a month and most require a card before you can see anything. We think the catalogue itself should be open, and that the interesting work is what you do with it, so we price the whole library at $29.99 a month and let you browse 200 ads without one.
On the two things that are objectively countable — what a plan costs and how many native networks it covers — OpenAdLibrary covers more networks than any of them at roughly a third of the price of the nearest competitor:
| OpenAdLibrary | Anstrex Native | AdPlexity Native | Adbeat | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly list price | $29.99 | $79.99 | $249 | from $249 |
| Free tier, no card | 200 ads | Not published | Not published | Not published |
| Native ad networks | 50 | 27+ | 8–9 (as reported) | Not published |
| Click traced to the advertiser landing page | Yes | Not published | Not published | Not published |
| Public REST API | Yes | Not published | Not published | Not published |
| Hosted MCP server for AI clients | Yes | Not published | Not published | Not published |
List prices and coverage as published by each vendor and by independent third-party reviews, checked August 2026. "Not published" means we could not confirm the capability from a public source, not that it is absent. Vendors change pricing; check theirs before deciding.
What we do
Most ad spy tools show you a creative and stop there. We trace the full funnel: the click URL, every redirect hop, the real advertiser behind a network tracking domain, and the landing page they actually send traffic to. You see what is working across Taboola, Outbrain, Teads, MGID, RevContent, MediaGo, Yahoo and more, all in one searchable library.
That funnel trace is the part competitors generally do not sell. A creative on its own tells you what an advertiser said; the landing page tells you what they were actually selling, which offer it fed, and whether the campaign was an arbitrage play riding on somebody else’s brand.
How we capture ads
We record public ad placements as they are served, and we follow the click and tracker redirects to the real advertiser directly. We do not click live ads. It is a deliberate compliance stance — a live click bills an advertiser for traffic that was never a real customer — and it means the evidence we store is clean and auditable.
Every creative carries the placement that produced it and the time we observed it, so any claim in the library can be traced back to a specific observation. There is more detail in our capture & click policy.
What we deliberately do not report
We do not publish click counts or click-through rates, because we do not observe clicks — nobody outside the network and the advertiser does. We do not infer audience age, gender or demographic targeting from a creative.
Several competitors present all of these as data. Where they are not measured, they are models. We would rather show you a smaller number of things we can actually stand behind: reach and spend appear only as explicitly labelled estimate ranges, and everything else is a count. If a figure is in OpenAdLibrary, we can tell you which observation it came from.
Who it is for
Media buyers and affiliates who want to spy the winners and ship their own. Competitive-intelligence teams tracking what rivals run, where each click goes, and how long it lasts. Brands catching the copycats and arbitrage riding on their funnel. And, increasingly, developers and AI agents that need ad data as a queryable source rather than a dashboard.
From spying to shipping
Once you have found what works, you do not have to leave. Build creatives from any ad in the library with AI in Creative Studio, push them live to your own network accounts, then run and optimise every campaign from one cockpit with a visual rule builder and an AI rule assistant.
Built for AI workflows
The whole catalogue is available over a public REST API and a hosted MCP server at mcp.openadlibrary.com, so Claude, Cursor, VS Code and any other MCP client can query live ad data directly in a conversation — no scraping, no export step. The free tier allows 2 API requests a day and the paid tier 5,000.
This is the part we think matters most over the next few years. Ad intelligence locked inside a dashboard cannot be reasoned over by an agent; a catalogue with a clean API can. See the API documentation to get started.

Common questions
What is OpenAdLibrary?
OpenAdLibrary is an open ad-transparency and competitive-intelligence platform for native advertising. As of August 2026 it holds 1.37 million distinct ad creatives across 50 ad networks, including Taboola, Outbrain, MGID, RevContent, Teads, MediaGo and Yahoo, and traces each ad's click path to the advertiser's real landing page.
How much does OpenAdLibrary cost compared to Anstrex and AdPlexity?
OpenAdLibrary costs $29.99 a month and offers a free tier with no card. Anstrex Native lists at $79.99 a month and AdPlexity Native at $249 a month, both as published in August 2026. OpenAdLibrary covers 50 native ad networks, against 27+ reported for Anstrex and 8 to 9 for AdPlexity, making it the broadest native coverage of the three at the lowest list price.
How does OpenAdLibrary collect its data?
OpenAdLibrary records public ad placements as they are served and follows the tracker and redirect chain to the advertiser directly, without ever clicking a live ad. Avoiding live clicks means no advertiser is billed for traffic generated by a crawler, and every stored creative can be traced back to the specific placement and timestamp it was observed at.
Does OpenAdLibrary report click-through rates or audience demographics?
No. OpenAdLibrary does not publish clicks, click-through rates, or inferred audience demographics, because none of those are observable from outside the ad network. Reach and spend appear only as clearly labelled estimate ranges. Every other figure in the library is a count of stored observations rather than a model.
Can I access OpenAdLibrary data programmatically?
Yes. OpenAdLibrary exposes a public REST API and a hosted MCP server at mcp.openadlibrary.com, so the catalogue can be queried directly from Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients. The free tier allows 2 requests a day and the paid tier allows 5,000, authenticated with a personal API key.
Is OpenAdLibrary free?
Yes, OpenAdLibrary is free to start: an account with no card gives you 200 ads and 2 API requests a day. Premium is $29.99 a month for the full library, funnel tracing, advertiser intelligence, Creative Studio, campaign optimisation and 5,000 API requests a day. Most native ad spy tools charge between $80 and $400 a month.
